I’ll be the first to admit it, I’m a huge drinker and lover of coffee. For me, it’s part daily ritual, part survival tool, and part comfort in a cup. That said, while there’s nothing wrong with a quick drive-thru chain shop in a pinch, more often than not, I’ll gladly go a few minutes out of my way to support a cozy, locally owned coffee shop instead.
After all, there’s something special about walking into a place where the coffee is made with intention, the space feels inviting, and the people behind the counter truly care about what they’re creating.
With that in mind, this list of the best coffee shops along the Treasure Coast isn’t meant to be just another generic roundup. Rather, I wanted to add a personal touch. To do that, I reached out to each individual coffee shop owner to learn why they started their shop and what they hope people feel the moment they step through the door.
From passion projects and family dreams to community-centered spaces built one cup at a time, these coffee shops offer more than great drinks. Ultimately, they offer connection, warmth, and a place to slow down.
So, grab your favorite mug, or plan your next coffee run, and let’s dive into some of the most loved local coffee spots along the Treasure Coast, one meaningful cup at a time.
Sebastian Coffee Shops
Beebs Beans Coffee Roastery
Address: 11-1 US-1, Sebastian, FL 32958
Named in honor of his late father, “Beeb” was a nickname given to owner Robert by his dad, who passed away in 2015. Choosing the name felt deeply personal—an everyday reminder of legacy, love, and pride. “Beebs Beans” wasn’t just a business name; it felt like the only name that made sense.
When asked what he hopes people feel the moment they walk in, Robert shared, “I hope people feel comfortable the moment they walk in. I want them to enjoy the charm of the shop and feel like it’s a place for everyone, a place where you can slow down and enjoy a good cup of coffee.” That intention is felt immediately whether you’re a regular or stopping in for the first time.

Tony shares, “I hope when people walk through the doors, they feel a sense of peace and calm in the midst of lush nature and a strong sense of community.” That feeling is exactly what guests experience as soon as they arrive. More than a coffee shop, ChoZen is a 40+ acre sanctuary where visitors are encouraged to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with both nature and one another.

Riverview Coffee, Tea & Books

Owner Niki Singley originally purchased Riverview as a way to expand on her already successful restaurant, Sebastian Sandwich Shack & Grill. What emerged instead was something much more meaningful. A space where local authors, artists, and neighbors could naturally gather and connect.
Manager Teresa, who also happens to be Niki’s proud mom, shares, “Niki and I both agree we want every person that comes in to feel welcome, relaxed, and hopefully leave with a new connection to us, our staff, or our community.” That welcoming energy fills the space, making it easy to linger a little longer.
All baked goods are made in-house from scratch, allowing for creativity and care in every bite. Teresa admits that if she had to choose just one favorite, it would be their lemon blueberry scones.

“My heart was to give women a place to breathe for a minute, where we can help fill their cup.”
Originally opened as a wellness spa in 2017, Southern Salt expanded in 2023 when owner Laura Barnes saw an opportunity to serve her community in a deeper way. Laura noticed women walking through her doors exhausted pouring into families, careers, and caregiving roles while neglecting themselves.
“I saw so many women coming in and pouring from an empty cup,” Laura shares. “Their health had taken a toll.” Adding a coffee bar felt like a natural extension of her holistic mission, offering high-quality, nourishing options that wouldn’t leave guests feeling worse afterward.
When asked what she hopes people feel when they enter, Laura answered simply, “Seen.” With 75–80% of daily guests being regulars, the team knows names, favorite drinks, and life stories. They celebrate milestones together, cry together, and build something that feels less like a business and more like family.

Owned by the 501(c)(3) nonprofit The Lindsay School of Arts, Cool Beans II is much more than a coffee shop—it’s an extension of a mission rooted in creativity, opportunity, and community. Before becoming owners, the team behind Cool Beans II were simply loyal customers who loved the space. When the opportunity to purchase the shop unexpectedly arose, it came with hesitation, but also a clear sense of purpose.
Ultimately, they chose to move forward, knowing the shop could become something even more impactful. Today, Cool Beans II provides a welcoming space where local artists can display their work while also serving as a vital revenue stream for their completely free arts school located just 0.3 miles away.
Beyond supporting the school financially, the shop gives students real-world opportunities to gain job experience, create freely, and even sell their own art. Every purchase directly supports the more than 400 students served each week. Above all, owner Cindy hopes every guest feels comfortable, welcomed, and right at home the moment they walk through the door.

The Kitty Cup
Address: 1461 SW Gatlin Blvd, Port St. Lucie, FL 34953
The Kitty Cup was born from a place of compassion, heartbreak, and a deep desire to do better for animals waiting for their forever homes. Owner Melony Zaravelis was inspired after volunteering in cat care at the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast alongside her husband and daughter. While the shelter provided incredible care, Melony noticed how stressful the kennel environment could be for many cats.
Soon after, she visited her first cat café in Omaha and instantly fell in love with the concept. Determined to learn as much as possible, Melony visited numerous cat cafés to understand how they successfully operate as both coffee shops and adoption centers, spaces that feel calm, welcoming, and more like home.
The moment that truly solidified her vision came when an adult cat with medical needs named Miss Kitty passed away in the shelter without ever finding her furever family. Despite being a staff and volunteer favorite, Miss Kitty never left the shelter. Through heartbreak and tears, Melony knew it was time to create a place where cats like Miss Kitty could live outside of kennels while waiting for adoption.
“I want people to feel like they are making a difference in the lives of these cats every time they stop by for their latte, sandwich, or bagel,” Melony shares.
The Kitty Cup offers guests the chance to enjoy great food and drinks while directly supporting rescue cats in a calm, home-like environment.

June Coffee
Mobile Coffee Shop – Follow on Instagram for locations
This coffee shop holds a special place in my heart. On our very first day in the Treasure Coast—surrounded by boxes, exhaustion, and nerves, I pulled up to June Coffee’s trailer on a whim. What I received was more than a great cup of coffee; it was my first genuine welcome into the community.
From the moment I arrived, Ashley greeted me with warmth and sincerity, instantly easing my nerves after moving across the state from the only place I had ever called home. That small interaction meant more than she likely realized, and it made this new town feel like home much sooner.
Ashley dreamed for years of opening her own coffee shop, driven by a love for ethically sourced coffee, thoughtfully curated flavors, and local ingredients. After years as an ER nurse and walking through infertility, she knew the timing was finally right.
“Coming from the ER, where you often meet people on their hardest days, it’s such a gift to now see people smiling, relaxed, and genuinely happy,” Ashley shares. “That joy never gets old.”

“I hope people feel at home,” Jenny shares. “I wanted a space that was welcoming and comfortable—a place where you run into neighbors and see the community come together.” That vision extends beyond coffee, with markets, events, and a strong emphasis on showcasing local artisans.
Their commitment to community runs deep, from using local milk and honey to featuring locally made treats throughout the menu. As Jenny puts it, “Our goal is to keep as much within our community as we can.”
