Family Fun at Marriott Hutchinson Island Resort
We had the most incredible staycation and family fun at Marriott Hutchinson Island Resort: Newly Reimagined Marriott Hutchinson Island Beach Resort, Golf & Marina in Stuart, FL.
The Lobby
First impressions matter and let me tell you—this place has always been a favorite of ours, but after its jaw-dropping $50 million renovation (finished in July 2024), it’s on a whole new level. The lobby looks like a slice of paradise and sets the vibe for the rest of your stay. They really nailed the coastal charm we all love about Hutchinson Island.
The Rooms
We spent our days soaking up the sun, sipping cocktails by the pool, and exploring everything this reimagined gem has to offer, but having a comfortable room is definitely important.
The renovation has touched every corner, including the sleek, updated rooms. I really appreciated that the floors weren’t carpet! We had a pool view, a modern bathroom, and a nice big closet storage area.
The Pools
There are 2 pools to enjoy. One is directly on the property and one is right down the street on the beach. The beach pool has an outdoor grill and bar and is a bit more congested than the resort pool. But, you get the beach and we liked being able to access both.
The resort pool was not updated during the renovation and we went during a colder month. I don’t believe the pool was heated or at least the heat wasn’t on-so keep that in mind! The resort pool is super relaxing and connected to their bar and grill.
Duckpin Bowling
One of our favorite discoveries was Locals Lanes, the island’s only duckpin bowling alley and arcade. I’m a sucker for a good throwback vibe, so when we walked in and saw the retro lanes paired with a modern arcade setup, I was in heaven. Plus, if you’ve ever been to Roccos Tacos down south, then you’re already familiar with the standards and vibe because Rocco was the mastermind behind this!
We bowled a few rounds (I’m still claiming my victory, even if my husband begs to differ), played some arcade games, and snacked on their elevated bar bites— truffle fries and sliders that hit all the right spots. It was the perfect mix of nostalgia and fun, and we loved how it gave us a break from the beach without losing that laid-back island feel.
Much Needed Coffee Addition
Mornings at the resort were just as amazing, thanks to The Hutch Café. This new coastal-inspired café quickly became our go-to for breakfast and is exactly what the resort needed because they didn’t have coffee anywhere after breakfast ended! I’m a coffee fiend, and their banana brew was exactly what I needed to kickstart the day—smooth, rich, and paired perfectly with a flaky croissant.
This entire cafe with iconic pink palm tress and a beach color palette screamed Florida.
My kids and I couldn’t get enough of their chocolate cake. We’d grab our food and sit outside while planning our day. It was one of those little moments that made the whole staycation feel so special.
Baha Grille
We were very happy with our breakfasts at their newly renovated restaurant. The colors and design are gorgeous. I woke up when the kids did (at the butt-crack) and caught the sunrise, and headed over for coffee. It was gorgeous! The buffet-style food was delicious and you can also just order off the menu. They had an omelette station, waffle station, and other Ala carte items, plus fresh juice and coffee.
Keep your eyes peeled for community events held at Baha Grille! You don’t necessarily need a room number to eat here!
Is it Worth It?
The Marriott Hutchinson Island Beach Resort has always been a staple on the Treasure Coast, but this reimagining in 2025 has taken it to new heights.
Whether you’re a local looking for a staycation or a visitor wanting to experience Stuart’s magic, this resort has it all—luxury, relaxation, and those unique touches like Locals Lanes and The Hutch Café that make every moment memorable. We’re already counting down the days until we can go back!
