Looking for a simple, free activity to enjoy with your kids this spring? A flower walk is one of our favorite ways to get outside and get creative!
Intentional Activities
When I saw this idea I thought It was so cute and such a fun way to get outdoors. Sometimes just having a little adventure is enough motivation to get outside, when just going to a playground seems mundane.
The kids love when we have intentional activities like this, plus they love hunting for pretty wildflowers, colorful petals, and interesting leaves that have already fallen.

Once we have a good collection, we draw a simple vase on the cardboard and tuck through a slit (or you could poke holes in the top of your vase) either way works fine!
In minutes, we have our very own wildflower bouquet — no store-bought flowers needed!
This easy craft is perfect for Earth Day, Mother’s Day, or any sunny spring day. It teaches kids to notice the beauty around them, encourages gentle respect for nature, and creates a sweet handmade keepsake they’re proud to give or display.
What you’ll need:
- Cardboard
- Scissors
- Black marker

That’s it! Next time the weather is nice, skip the screens and try a flower walk with your little ones. It’s amazing how something so simple can turn into a happy family memory.
