Where local moms are working out, walking, and finding ways to move with kids in tow.
Finding time to work out is one thing. Finding somewhere that actually fits mom life is another.
Maybe you need childcare you trust, somewhere you can bring the stroller, a workout that can be modified postpartum, or simply a walking group that doesn’t require a babysitter.
We asked around and pulled together some of the gyms, classes, and walking groups Treasure Coast moms recommend across Port St. Lucie, Stuart, Jensen Beach, and nearby areas.
A quick note: Everyone’s postpartum recovery looks different. Talk with your healthcare provider before starting a new fitness routine, particularly after having a baby.
The Quick Playbook
Need childcare while you work out? Burn Boot Camp, EOS Fitness, TBLB Fitness + Boxing
Want to bring baby along? FIT4MOM (Jensen + Stuart) iStroll PSL, or an outdoor group workout.
Want something fun and high-energy? Try rebounding, Zumba, or Jazzercise.
Looking for something lower impact? YMCA, Banyan Soul, Club Pilates, or one of Powerhouse’s lower-impact classes.
Just want to walk and meet people? United We Run, Walk Club PSL, Rise and Stride, or Mom Walk Co.
Gyms With Childcare
TBLB Fitness + Boxing | Vero Beach
TBLB is a great Vero Beach option for moms who want a higher-energy workout without having to find a babysitter first. They offer boxing-inspired and strength-focused fitness classes, plus on-site childcare during select classes, so kids can stay nearby while you get your workout in.
Burn Boot Camp | Stuart, Port St. Lucie & Jupiter
Burn Boot Camp came up frequently with local moms, particularly because of its childwatch. Moms described it as attentive and reliable, including for those who were initially nervous about leaving a baby while they worked out.
Workouts can also be modified based on fitness level or where you are in your postpartum return to exercise.
TCM Tip: Popular childwatch times can fill quickly, so reserve your spot ahead of time, especially for busy morning classes.
EOS Fitness | Treasure Coast
EOS is another popular option for moms who want a traditional gym with a Kids Club. More than one local mom mentioned that her kids actually ask to go back, which is half the battle.
Membership options vary depending on the level of access and amenities you want, including group fitness, pool, and sauna access.
Personal Training & Smaller-Group Options
30 Plus Fit Club | Port St. Lucie
If a packed gym isn’t your thing, 30 Plus Fit Club offers a more personal approach. Located across from the Mets Stadium, the private training gym is run by trainer Jake McCaslin and offers one-on-one coaching, couples training, small-group sessions, nutritional guidance, and customized plans.
Built for Stroller & Postpartum Moms
FIT4MOM | Jensen Beach + Stuart area
A fitness community built specifically for moms, best known for its stroller-based workouts where your little one comes along for the class. Depending on the local schedule, programs can include prenatal and postpartum fitness, strength training, running, and mom-and-me activities. It’s a great option for moms who want to work out without arranging childcare while also meeting other local moms.
They also offer classes without the kids, and they plan mom’s night out and activities just for moms as well.
iStroll | Port St. Lucie
iStroll offers group workouts designed around having your little one with you. Strollers are part of the setup, with babies and kids nearby while moms work out together.
Rebounding, Dance & Zumba
Jump Start Fitness & Nutrition Studio | PSL
If you’ve been curious about rebounding, this one came up repeatedly. Instructors Sabrina Winder, Meggen Burdick, and Mabel Pacheco were specifically recommended by local moms.
Drop-in and unlimited membership options are available.
Bounce Back Fitness Nutrition | Stuart
Another local option for rebounding, with moms describing the classes as genuinely fun. They offer single classes, class packs, and unlimited monthly options.
Crunch Fitness | Stuart
A good option if you’d rather dance your way through a workout. Crunch offers Zumba classes, and one local mom said the regulars at her gym have essentially become a built-in accountability group.
Powerhouse | Stuart
Powerhouse offers Zumba along with its “Sweat and Swagger” class. There are also lower-impact and chair-adapted fitness options for anyone looking for something a little gentler.
Jazzercise Stuart Fitness Center
Don’t sleep on Jazzercise. Local moms had great things to say about the Stuart location, which offers both traditional and lower-impact options just north of the Roosevelt Bridge.
City of Stuart Riverwalk
You don’t necessarily need a gym membership at all. The City of Stuart offers free outdoor fitness classes downtown, including Zumba, yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates, Core & Sculpt, and Shimmy Dance.
Check the City of Stuart’s current recreation schedule before heading out, as classes and times can change.
Don’t Want a Gym? Try These Local Walking Groups
United We Run Group | Jensen Beach
United We Run hosts free community run/walk meetups at the US Sailing Center of Martin County. All paces are welcome, and the meetups are stroller- and pet-friendly, with snacks and coffee afterward.
Times can vary, including morning walks/runs and evening “Sunset Runs,” so check their current schedule before going.
Walk Club PSL
Run by Jump Start Fitness & Nutrition Studio, Walk Club PSL gives you another way to meet people and get moving without signing up for a traditional workout class.
Follow @walkclubpsl on Instagram for upcoming meetup locations and times.
Rise and Stride Walking Group | Port St. Lucie
Rise and Stride meets at The Boardwalk at the Port District on Westmoreland Boulevard. The group hosts Wednesday evening Wellness Walks and Saturday morning Sunrise Strides.
There’s no experience or complicated sign-up needed. Just show up and walk.
Mom Walk Co. | Port St. Lucie and Vero Beach
Another one to have on your radar if what you really want is a walking crew and an opportunity to meet other local moms. There are two locations. Check their Instagram for upcoming PSL walks and meetup details.
One More TCM Tip
If childcare is the deciding factor when choosing a gym, ask about reservations, age minimums, time limits, and whether childcare is included in your membership before joining. Policies can vary by location, and sometimes the childcare spots fill before the actual workout does.
Final Thought
The best workout is the one that fits your actual life.
Maybe that’s an hour at Burn while the kids are in childwatch, rebounding with friends, Pilates twice a week, or pushing the stroller around the Port District. There are a lot more ways for Treasure Coast moms to get moving than you might realize.
