Why We Think Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island is the Best Family Resort in Palm Beach
We love a quick getaway to any beach resort in our state that is family-friendly, so I’ve rounded up why we think Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island is the best family resort in Palm Beach.
Published | May 2024
Taking these casual trips that feel adventurous and exciting are just what our family craves after months of the same routine-that’s why we stayed at the Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island Resort and can truly say we do not regret it one bit!
When narrowing down which resort to spend our precious weekend with our kids at, we had three priorities:
1. On the beach
2. Fun pool
3. Kid-friendly
These three resort features were non negotiable for us, so our expectations were a little high going in. There are a few cons, which i’ll explain toward the end of this post.
Check out our experience at Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island Beach Resort and why we recommend it for families!
South Florida resort on the beach
Being on the beach always elevates any experience, whether it’s dining, recreation, or just relaxing.
Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island Resort is the perfect resort on the beach for families
When we were planning our staycation in Palm Beach, we knew being on the beach was one of our priorities. This resort has easy, private beach access directly from their tiki bar patio. The patio itself, is beautifully setup with fire pits, lounge chairs, lawn games, a tiki bar, and water sport rentals.
The resort’s private beach has umbrellas and chairs that are available for renting, or if you book a resort fee package, these will all be included. You just have to select the package that includes this, which I’ll explain later.
We had the option to utilize the kayaks, canoes, surfboards and beach equipment for lounging on the sand. This is truly paradise!
Florida Resort with a pool and slide for families
The Palm Beach Marriott had the best pool for kids that we could find!
The best South Florida resort lagoon pool
The “lagoon pool” is equipped with a big water-slide, a mesmerizing cave-waterfall that pours into the lagoon pool, and a shallow end that is not even a foot deep.
This checked all the boxes for us because we have two small children, one of which is at the perfect age to just splash around in the shallow water.
My older toddler had a blast going down the slide again and again, and other older kids were having a great time on the slide, too.
The water fountain was another fun feature that kids love to get “rained on” in and you can hear the soothing waterfall from your room if you open the balcony door.
There is poolside berverage service. At one point our drinks were delivered to us while we were in the water.
The lagoon bar serves delicious cocktails, mocktails, meals, and snacks.
We packed a cooler of our own snacks, but we ordered chicken tenders from the bar and they were great. We also had a coconut drink which was so refreshing.
Beach Resort with family activities
Finding a resort in South Florida with activities for kids was a big plus.
The best kid friendly resort for families in Palm Beach County
We knew this resort had a great reputation as a family-friendly resort in Florida, and it surely lived up to that expectation for us.
This Singer Island resort was hosting many other families during our stay, and we wanted something geared toward that, rather than toward people trying to party or have a college hangout, etc.
While it would be nice to get a night like that, this was more of a fun experience for our kids, so this was the perfect resort for us.
There is a tropical hair braider who attends the pool every weekend and braids hair with colorful strings and beads. They have activities for kids like corn-hole, giant lawn games, ping-pong and more.
There is a kids club with an ongoing schedule everyday of the week. They do instructor-led activities like arts and crafts, and if you do want a date night while staying at the resort, they allow drop-offs.
Other kid-friendly perks are:
-an easy to select online booking option for requesting a crib in your room– this was in our room when we arrived! While they said a fee could be applied, there was no associated fee for this.
-a kids menu at their elegant restaurant, Ona, and the lagoon bar.
The overall experience exuded family fun, and seeing our kiddos have a great time, made everything that much better.

Family dining
The resort has updated their restaurant to Ona in May of 2024. This restaurant has delicious menu items! The prices reflect the fine dining experience. We had dinner here and it was truly delicious. Breakfast is also served here which can be Ala carte or you can utilize the buffet.
The Lagoon Cantina, is the poolside food service. It’s very laidback!
The Reef Tiki Bar serves lunch outside with beach views.
Additionally, there is a cafe in the lobby that serves pastries, and fresh Starbucks coffee. We opted for this when the kids woke up early and we wanted to catch the morning sun over the ocean.
Were there any cons on staying at this Marriott?
While there weren’t many, and none significant enough to ruin our experience, I will mention the negatives we encountered.
It is valet only
This is probably the most efficient way for the hotel to run their parking situation-rather than have guests self-park in the garage beneath the hotel, they have valet service handle it. However, they charge almost $40.00 per car to valet.
I think that’s a little steep to add on to the overall bill. We always leave our valet and bellman a generous tip, so a mandatory fee to park was another expense that we couldn’t avoid- but a drop in the bucket while you’re having fun. Also, you may charge It to your room, as with most resort purchases.
The room has a snack tray
eh, ok? a snack tray shouldn’t be a con, right? Well, in this case- I wouldn’t exactly call it a perk. The sweets were tempting, but the boxes of candy and other snacks were on a sensored-timer, so anytime an item was removed for 30 seconds or more, your room would be charged for the cost of the item.
Sure this is no problem for most, but my kids took this opportunity to try and reenact the hotel scene from the movie Home Alone!
We ended up throwing a beach towel over it and they forgot it was there.
That’s it! I cannot think of any other things to say about the hotel that I would change. We had an amazing time, and can’t wait to go back next year!
Can we book this luxury hotel on a budget?
Yes! We became Marriott Bonvoy members, which is free to sign-up. This started our journey in racking up points each time we stay at a Marriott, and can be redeemed for free stays once enough points are accrued.
This option is such a nice benefit for hotel guests, and I like to tease my husband that each stay is a monumental investment for a future vacation.
Budget-friendly family resort in Palm Beach
The best option for staying within budget when going to a nice resort, is to pack your own food. There is a Walmart, Target, and Publix nearby. We like to stock up with snacks and lunches at Publix.
We bring a cooler to the beach and pool, and we keep extra purchases on food and drinks to a minimum.
Marriott offers discounts up to 20 percent off for all Government, Military, and First Responders with a valid ID.
Resort Packages
You can bundle your amenities into your room cost, and end up saving money rather than pay for things individually.
The resort also offer different packages based on your needs, whether that is-you want breakfast included, valet included, or a $50 credit per night for Brightline (the high-speed train), for example.
Our package: Resort fee includes 2 Beach Chairs and one umbrella daily per room daily dry cleaning allowance up to 10 dollars per room daily morning yoga class for 2 guests (must make reservations) enhanced guest activities (choice of up to 2 per day) bicycling – 1 hour per day kayaking – 1 hour per day snorkel gear – 1 hour per day paddleboards – 1 hour per day surfboard – 1 hour per day floats and tubes – 1 hour per day 2 bottled waters in room daily unlimited local and domestic long distance calling property games (cornhole, beach volleyball, etc.) Property Signature Cocktail daily.
Budgeting for families is crucial for getting the most out of your entire vacation! If you plan ahead, you can definitely feel good about your experience.
