Our Family Friendly Hotel Stay in Jupiter
Getting to explore coastal towns with our kids is at the top of our bucket list, that’s why I want to share our family friendly hotel stay in Jupiter!

I’m always on the lookout for good hotel deals that match in quality and our kid-friendly hotel standards.
Here are all of the details, from hotel amenities and kid activities to the perfect family getaway in Jupiter.
Jupiter Waterfront Inn
Rates
One of the main reasons why I chose this hotel on the beach in Jupiter, was because of the affordability. Since the hotel has limited amenities (no kitchen or restaurant, spa, gym, etc.) the rates seem to be lower than other waterfront hotels in the area.
So, if you aren’t in the market for being pampered, or a breakfast included kind of stay, then this could be the perfect fit for you, too!
We opted in for grabbing breakfast nearby, stocking our fridge in our room with cheese, yogurts, sandwiches and pretzels to snack on before ordering pizza to the hotel for dinner- but there are so many nearby restaurants to choose from as well.
Amenties
The lobby is really stunning. It has beautiful tile and old-Florida-charm decor, with visitor guides and comfortable seating. There is a gorgeous sunroom for sitting down and grabbing a brewed cup from their free coffee bar.
All of the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our room was equipped with a microwave, TV and wifi. Each room has a little patio overlooking the intercoastal. Our room was also overlooking the pool, which made bathroom breaks and snack breaks a breeze.
Hotel on the beach
One of the main reasons we booked this hotel over some others, was that it had views of the water, and since we love exploring coastal nearby towns, we knew having a hotel on the Jupiter Sound was the perfect fit for us.
Sandbar
Depending on the tide and time of day, you can swim or paddle out to a sandbar. Once you reach the sandbar, you’re free to stand up with the water just high enough to cover your ankles-perfect for little kids! Older kids can swim around the sandbar or even get in on the water sports.
Note: Don’t get your heart set on building sandcastles. Other than the sandbar, there is no sand area for young kids to sit and play.
During our stay there were a few boats docked around the sandbar and people paddle boarding/canoeing. If you have a canoe, this could be perfect for you to get out to the sandbar, or if the tide is in your favor, the water could be shallow enough to stand right off the pier!
Pier
The Jupiter Waterfront Inn has a large fishing pier and is the perfect spot to cast a line and go fishing. We found a small pole from Walmart that was just perfect for my 3 year old, and he had his first fishing experience here! So cute.
Saltwater Pool
The heated pool was very lovely to sit and lounge around. It was well-kept, from the landscaping to the pool chairs and umbrellas. I didn’t know the pool was going to be saltwater!
It was a great little surprise because saltwater pools are so much easier on the skin than chlorine. Since we have young kids, I also had peace of mind with the pool being fenced in from the beach.
Little sidenote: The pool is open until 10pm. It clears out around happy hour time, and if you order food or pack your own, you can enjoy the pool to yourself. The peak busy time was probably around 12-3pm, but the vibe was so relaxing that nobody seemed to mind our kiddos.
Jupiter food options
To-go
3 minutes down the road is the best bagels you’ll have in Jupiter. It’s called Bagel Bistro! Be sure not to order from the Hobe Sound location, as it’s about 15 min further north. At this bistro, you can sit and eat inside, as they have a full menu, but we ordered ours to-go and had bagels with a better view back at the hotel. I have to say, the coffee was also very good, and got our daycation off to a great start.
We ordered pizza right to our room! Lynora’s is the go-to for Italian, and that includes their artisan pizza as well! So good.
Dine-in
If you want to have breakfast at a nearby diner, go with The Nook. It’s really good and I always recommend supporting local small guys.
For lunch, I really like Pura Vida. They have wraps, sandwiches, acai bowls, salads and other healthy-ish items. If you want to shop and walk around, this is the plaza to do it.
There are endless dinner options in Jupiter. It’s so hard to choose just a couple to recommend. But, to get the most island vibe experience, Guanabanas would be my number one suggestion. However, If you don’t need the Mai Tai in a fancy cup to appreciate a good meal, Little Moir’s Food Shack will be my choice for quality food.
Jupiter things to do with kids
I have an entire post dedicated to 40 Kid-Friendly Things to do in Jupiter.
But just for a quick preview, I highly suggest the Lighthouse, which is probably the main attraction and landmark in Jupiter.
Overall, our experience at this family friendly hotel in Jupiter was better than expected! The kids had fun, we had fun and our intentions were fulfilled.
We came to explore a coastal town, and we did just that! We would love to go back any day of the week 😉 Like, any day- seriously.
