In my opinion, 4 years old and up is the perfect age, but I've seen 3 year olds working diligently. But, I will say that we have been several times without registering and we have always had a kit. The kit comes in a bag with directions and all the pieces and nails. The prized possession is also in the kit! (at least for me.) And that's the pin! Each time you attend a workshop, you receive a pin for your apron with the date and picture on it of the project that you made.I think this is so cute and fun. Tips for doing DIY projects with little kids

Try to remain calm! That's my biggest tip. I am not a perfectionist but when I see all kinds of wonky mis-match going on-I have to try hard not to intervene! In reality, it's so fun watching them get creative.Prepare to get messy. No matter how hard I try, I always get paint on my hands. No big deal for me, but just a D.I.Y- F.Y.I! :)Have patience. The steps take a little longer to get through when you have toddlers.If you are doing these DIY projects with school-aged kids, then you are in the clear. Toddler projects always come out haphazard, and that's part of the joy in creating with them.
