1. Witham Field (SUA):

Witham Field is the closest airport to Stuart, because well, it’s in Stuart. It is a public airport situated just 2 miles northwest of the city’s central business district. This Stuart airport serves commercial and private aviation.
An exciting new launch, in Martin County started production in 2022, and is underway now-the Residential Sound Insulation Program.
This new program will assess the impact of noise from the airport in Stuart, on homes nearby, based on pillars such as: noise abatement procedures, noice reporting system, noise exposure maps, and noise curfew reports.
To me, this speaks to the county’s values on keeping Stuart a peaceful, coastal beach town for its residents and visitors. Did you know about the policies against building tall buildings in Stuart?
In short, Stuart’s motto is, “Sunrises not high-rises.” We want to keep this town’s charm and quaintness, without obstructing our ocean views.
2. Vero Beach Regional Airport (VRB):

The airport is small, quaint, and looks like a country estate with very traditional architecture. Side note, it’s entirely outside!
One of the best things you’ll see here in Vero is the Air Show in Vero Beach, usually the first weekend in May.
Thousands of people, from locals to aircraft enthusiasts soar over from all around, to celebrate the air performances by talented pilots and of course, the U.S Navy Blue Angels.
Whether in sync wingtip-to-wingtip or flying solo, you and your family will enjoy seeing these pilots take off and design some aerobatic entertainment at the Vero Air Show.
But on to travel-I have some exciting news. Breeze Airline just started serving this airport with non-stop flights to Hartford CT, Norfolk VA, Westchester NY, and Providence RI-Boston MA.
This airline offers very affordable flights and is such a nice addition for travelers-so be sure to check them out for updates on routes and itinerary.

Located approximately 40 miles south of Stuart in West Palm Beach, Palm Beach International Airport is the nearest major airport near Stuart.
It offers a wide range of domestic and international flights, serving as a hub for many airlines.
This is the biggest and most widely used airport near us. It’s beautiful inside with tons of amenities, including the Mamava Pod.
This is a lactation/breast feeding pod, that locks so you can privately nurse your child. I’ve personally used it and love it. While waiting for our flight, I hung out for 45 minutes among all the airport chaos and it was a game-changer! Inside the spacious pods are changing tables, seating, charging outlets, and ventilation fans.
If you’re traveling to the Treasure Coast from outside the U.S, this airport is the right choice for you. If you are jumpin’ countries, this is your go-to option.
4. Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL):

Keep going South, and 80 miles south of Stuart, you’ll stumble across Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. This is another major airport near Stuart, Florida.
It provides both domestic and international flights and is super accommodating when flying to various destinations.
Along with PBI, and MIA, you’ll also find the Mamava lactation pod located here.
Now, to get from Stuart to Fort Lauderdale, you’ll want to take the Brightline high-speed train. The train won’t take you directly there.
You’ll first drive to the Brightline West Palm Station, located at 501 Evernia St.West Palm Beach FL 33401.
You can add parking to your ticket when you book your train ride.
From there, you can be in Fort Lauderdale, at 101 NW 2nd Avenue,
Fort Lauderdale, FL 33311 within 40 minutes!
I recommend exploring lively downtown Fort Lauderdale for a bit, but if you gotta jet, simply take an Uber to the airport.
5. Miami International Airport (MIA):
Located approximately 105 miles south of Stuart, Miami International Airport is one of the largest airports in Florida. I know this is a far drive from Stuart, but hear me out-there is a super fast way to get here.
Along with PBI, and FLL, you’ll also find the Mamava lactation pod located here.
This airport is ideal for domestic and international flights, and serves as a major gateway to Latin America and the Caribbean. If you’re thinking about that traveling to Montego Bay, Aruba or Babados, this is where you’ll want to start.
Heck, why not get on a 45 minute non-stop flight to Bimini, Bahamas. Yep, that’s how short the flight is.
